Are your shoes damp from rain or sweat? Here’s what to do.

Shoes should never be left to dry close to a direct source of heat (central heating radiators, hair dryer, stove). Ideally shoes should be allowed to dry in the open air but not in direct sunlight which may discolour or turn them yellow.
If shoes are damp, place paper in the shoe since this will absorb water and keep the shape.
Many Naturino shoes have an removable insole.

Every evening insoles should be removed and allowed to dry well away from a heat source. To ensure the health and hygiene of your child’s feet, before reusing shoes, check that the insoles are perfectly dry.
If shoes are to be stored for a long period of time, fill them with paper to prevent them from losing their shape and keep them dry since fungi and mould reproduce very easily in damp shoes.
Sweat and damp may also produce bacteria inside the shoe. It is therefore a good idea to let your child wear different shoes every other day.
