“Hints” on how to choose the right shoes for your child
|
|
The shoes that you choose for your child’s first steps must be soft and comfortable with flexible and transpiring soles: they must not “mummify” feet but protect them from external agents without preventing movement and stimuli.
Here are just a few hints on how to choose the first pair of shoes for your child:
- the back of the shoe should have a sturdy heel pad to stabilise the heel and prevent the foot from twisting sideways
- when choosing the size remember that toes must have a space of at least 8-9 mm at the front to move freely
- never buy shoes that are too big
- children’s feet grow very quickly so that you should frequently check that you child’s shoes are not too small by pressing the tip of the shoe with your fingers. Download the useful Naturino foot measure and measure your child’s feet before buying a new pair of shoes.
