Shoes in leather, calfskin and kidskin:
- wipe shoes every day with a damp sponge to remove dust from the upper
- use as brush to remove caked mud
- rub neutral cream on your shoes regularly to hydrate and waterproof the leather, keeping it soft and protecting the upper from dust and rain
Patent leather shoes:
- clean and polish the upper with a damp cloth
- stubborn stains may be removed with a cloth soaked with a little alcohol
Suede and Nabuk Leather Shoes:
- remove dust and light, dry stains every day with a metal wire and bristle brush
- to remove stubborn stains wipe with damp sponge or a thin sheet of sand paper or piece of rubber
Canvas Shoes:
- canvas shoes may be machined washed in cold water and a short spin drying cycle
- if the shoes have leather or calfskin inserts, place the shoes under running water and rub with a sponge and a little neutral soap, then rinse well. Do not soak shoes of this kind in water since they may discolour. As an alternative, clean with a bristle brush under running water.
