The Christmas holidays are officially just around the corner, and with them comes the frenzy of buying Christmas presents, cooking lunches and dinners and, why not, also deciding what to wear for you and your kids. In our fun filled days ahead, the time we spend with family and friends, the emotion (above all for our kids) of unwrapping Christmas presents and the magic of midnight mass, elegance is a must, but for our children … comfort is essential.

SO LET’S OPT FOR RETRO-INSPIRED MATERIALS AND A COMFORTABLE STYLE

This year I was inspired by the retro trend with its loose comfortable dresses, and geometric patterns that look like maxi paintings, and colours like white, black and mustard (that are again super trendy), and materials such as cotton flannel and patent leather for shoes.

PFor the girls there is a great comeback to patent leather English style lace-ups that go so well with 70s inspired dresses and colours, but are versatile enough for any outfit, from the college or the “back-to-school” look or more elegant outfits in velvet or tartan (that are so very Christmassy).

The Albert model in very soft light black patent leather is the perfect model chosen by us for the coming festive season. They are perfect because they are comfortable enough to run and jump for joy after unwrapping Christmas presents, but also elegant enough for midnight mass or watching fireworks at midnight on New Year’s Eve. And non-slip rubber bottoms make them safe enough for a snowball fight.

Happy Holidays to you all!
