In the evening we tend to stretch out.

The best time to measure your child’s feet is in the evening, because this is the time of day that feet relax and stretch out a little more.

Here’s how:

Naturino_misura_giusta
  1. Get your child to stand on a piece of paper, and draw a line from the tip of the heel to the tip of the toe, and measure the length;
  2. Add 1.2-1.5 cm. to this length, then cut a 4 cm. wide strip of cardboard in the same length, and place it in a shoe;
  3. If the strip fits into the shoe, the size is right!

Measure your child’s feet in this way once every three or four months, because children’s feet grow an average of 3 mm every month; remember to check that the big toe of your child’s foot does not touch the tip of the shoe.
